Dockiloc Kennel is a small home based kennel that consist solely of myself and my lovely babies. My goal as a breeder / exhibitor is to improve the breed according to the AKC standard, and to exhibit the best specimens of the breed in the conformation rings. I have many of the top bloodlines in the country in my breeding program. I study pedigrees closely, but have not limited my breeding to just pedigrees. Over the years, I've learned to observe type, temperament, structure, strengths and weaknesses, movement, and expression, when selecting a male or female for purchase, showing , or breeding. I have heard like many of you that you can't get the perfect Pom, but it's my ultimate goal to breed for sound / healthy dogs with short backs, good shoulder lay back, proper head carriage, tiny but high ear sets, good legs and bones, correct coat texture, nice tail-set, good solid movement, correct structure and bites, beautiful almond shaped eyes, rich color pigment, and cute adorable little face with lots of expression!.....THE PERFECT POM. |

When breeding here at Dockiloc's, I have QUALITY in mind and not QUANTITY, therefore my breeding's are limited, two or three litters a year. All of my dogs are socialized daily, and the puppies are raised in my home, right under my feet. Here at Dockiloc's, I believe that early socialization of puppies aids in good showmanship, and confidence through canine adolescence. My little girl Cricket was my first pom, and the foundation behind the idea that became "Dockiloc Kennel". |

Since my beginning in 1998, I have had great success. Twelve Champions to my record, two of which are American Cocker Spaniels. The year 2002 was wonderful and exciting for me, my first home bred champion received his championship title in only 6 weeks, and managed to finish before turning 12 months old. The year "2002" I had 5 Pom's to get their Championship title, and 3 of them were Group placer's from the classes. One of these 3 became my first Special, "BIS BISS GC CH. Finch's Rolling Like A River", aka IKE. This little boy was shown on a limited basis and with those limited showings, he managed to prove himself to be a very nice specimen of the breed in the show ring and as stud. Ike finished from the puppy classes with 2 back-to-back Group 1st over Specials. Ike then became a Gold Club member, and a few weeks after that, he won a Best in Show at the Toy Dog Specialty in Oklahoma! I was honored to receive my first invitation to the "2002 AKC / Eukanuba National Invitational Championship! This little man has won numerous Breed and Group placements, Awards of Merit at the "2003" and "2004" American Pomeranian National held in Louisville, Kentucky, and an invitation to the Crufts Dog Show in London, England. Ike captivates the hearts of many that see him in action, this little boy is truly a moving machine, that's rolling...rolling...rolling like a river. Ike has sired several champions, and many more on their way, so watch the ring for Dockiloc's. |
